The "Archaic" shuffleboard was a prototype set for a client. The showcased set is the compact 64-inch version, offering a condensed yet engaging shuffleboard experience. However, it's essential to note that all our shuffleboards are fully customizable and can be crafted to span from this compact size all the way up to a regulation-standard 22 feet in length.
One of the most captivating aspects of this shuffleboards is the incorporation of fractal burning, an intricate technique that results in the emergence of mesmerizing and unique wood patterns. This technique, often referred to as Lichtenberg, draws its name from the German physicist Georg Lichtenberg, credited for its original discovery.
Our particular application of this method is showcased in "The Archaic" shuffleboard, where the wood surface seemingly captures the essence of lightning strikes. This striking effect is achieved by subjecting dampened wood to a potent electric current, resulting in the captivating and distinctive visual display, truly making "The Archaic" a remarkable piece of artistry and science.
